Patsy Ryan Stables (4 Star ****)

Purpose built as "look a like horse stables" in the mid 1990's to complement the adjacent old Patsy Ryan Cottage (circa 1850's), hence the name 'The Stables' and quite naturally all stables have included within them a 'Tack Room' for harness, saddles and etc also a hay loft for fodder to feed the horses and of course 'The Stalls' to keep the horses, but we had difficulty finding names to suit the up to the minute kitchen and wet areas so they are unnamed.

During construction a near by Horse Man enquired "what are you building?" we responded "Stables" and the angry response was "I've been trying to build stable for ages and they (council) won't let me! WHO DO YOU KNOW THAT I DON'T?" and he laughed the loudest when he understood what we were really doing.

An unique design on three levels. The main living 'Tack Room' is paved to look as close a possible to cobbles and is open to the modern kitchen. The large main bedroom opens off the Tack Room and is a step down 'The Stalls'.

There is a narrow stair case to the 'hay loft', Watch out for the the large beams or you will bang your head, first you will find a small room with a balcony and a single bed, also a private but small bedroom with a iron double bed.

This holiday home sleeps up to 5, has a split level reverse cycle air conditioner, pot belly stove, up to the minute kitchen with dishwasher drawer, modern facilities with two toilets, instantaneous hot water, barbecue and a small grassed rear garden.
